Dorf Mecklenburg GmbH&Co KG

At Dorf Mecklenburg, a location near the Hanseatic town of Wismar (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern/Germany), RENERGIE Dorf Mecklenburg GmbH&Co KG built a biogas plant with an electrical capacity of 500 kWel. Apart from maize silage, the feedstock is mainly solid and liquid manure provided by a dairy farmer with about 300 cows. The digestion residues are used as high-value fertiliser and spread onto the farmland.

The plant will produce some 4,000,000 kWh of green power annually.
