1.-5. Falkenhagen GmbH & Co KG

In Falkenhagen next to the A24 highway connection Hamburg and Berlin in Brandenburg / Germany, the 5 biogas plants of the 1.-5. Falkenhagen GmbH & Co KG with an electrical capacity of 536 kW each, are in operation since mid of 2008.

Beginning of 2010 RENERGIE green solutions GmbH acquired the majority of these plants. Feedstock for these plants are mainly silage from maize and cattle manure delivered by farms from the surrounding area. The digestion residue – a high-value fertilizer – are taken back by these farmers too.

At this site approx. 20.000.000 kWh of green electricity are produced and led into the public grid under the EEG law. The next optimisation will be utilisation of the wasted heat followed by other expansion projects at this site.
